We had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Dr. Thomas Pähtz from Zhejiang University, China in Zagreb during April 2024. During his visit, prof. Pähtz delivered a lecture titled ” The Scaling Behavior of Windblown Sand and Fluvial Bedload Transport.”. He shared insights into conceptual model he derived for predicting both the transport threshold and rate in agreement with a large range of measurements and numerical simulations of terrestrial and extraterrestrial flow-driven particle transport.
We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from his expertise and look forward to future collaborations! Read more about Prof. Pähtz’s lecture on the link.
